{Mothers Day Gift Idea}

Mother's Day is just around the corner and it is never too early to be thinking about a great gift for Mom! If your mom is into gardening like my mom is, she would love having some custom made garden signs to spruce up her garden! Remember you get to choose the items you want on the signs and they are made out of metal so they will be durable and last many seasons!  The cost is 5 signs for $20.  Sign up here!

{April Craft Night}

Craft night in April will be April 23rd from 5-9 p.m. Sign ups end on April 9th at midnight. All payments must be made before April 13th. A $5 late fee will be applied for payments made after April 13th, unless prior arrangements have been made.

-the (last) name you would like on the bottom stacker
-indicate if you would like brown or black vinyl lettering.

-board is 9"x12". Sorry stand and jewelry not included!

5. Birthday Banner - $15

6. Home Blocks - $15

-please indicate if you would like brown or black vinyl.

The home blocks will include 3 seasons (the pumpkin, the snowflake and the flower). In future craft nights, we will sell additional seasons/holiday blocks that will coordinate with the HOME blocks.

7. Garden Signs - 5 signs for $20

These durable garden signs are made out of metal and should withstand the elements for several seasons.
-please indicate the 5 garden items you want on your signs.


Attention Crafters! Because of the volume of the supplies used to host Craft Night each month, we are going to implement a new pricing policy. Beginning with the April Craft Night, we will be charging an additional $1 PER PERSON to attend craft night. This supply fee will be used to provide you with paint brushes, glues, etc.

HOWEVER! For the April Craft Night, we are offering a special deal to our loyal Crafters. All you have to do is post a pic of one of your favorite crafts that you have done at craft night on our wall and then TAG YOURSELF in that picture and your $1 fee will be waived for April! (You must "like" Craft Carnival on Facebook) Those that signed up and PAID last night will also receive the fee waiver this month!

Pics must be posted before midnight on APRIL 2nd to be eligible.

Craft Night Reminder and Announcement

Just wanted to remind everyone that craft night is THIS Saturday from 5-9ish p.m.!  We are excited to see everyone there!  Hopefully everyone can make it!  The address is:
489 W 300 S Springville, UT (let us know if you need more detailed directions).

Here are a few reminders:

-Don't forget your scissors, paper cutters and glue guns (if you have one)

-Don't forget we are doing a potluck so remember your potluck item.


Also as an announcement, we will have next month's craft available to look at and to also sign up!  If you wish to pay with cash or check, this will be an excellent time to get us your money and to be all signed up!  (The crafts are super cute!)

-If you want to sign up on Saturday make sure to bring your money or check!

Wrinkly paper on your blocks? No problem!

The blocks have been so popular for craft night but I have gotten a few complaints about the paper wrinkling. Which I was not happy with and I really wanted to find a solution.

My mom said she had the same problem so she decided to try "craft bond" gluesticks instead. She has had the same blocks on her counter for over 6 months and they aren't wrinkled at all.

Here's how you do it:

Before:


Take a knife and carefully peel the paper off of the block.


If you are careful and patient it will come off very easily.


Use This kind of gluestick:

It must be repositionable!

Smooth out the paper and press down pretty hard until glue is dry.

Ta-da! No more wrinkles!


You can buy the gluesticks at walmart... and probably other places too. There are 3 kinds of the gluesticks so make sure you get repositionable!

We will be buying these gluesticks for craft night from now on, they are a lot more expensive but well worth the cost!

Solution!

We have found a solution to the paper wrinkling on the blocks of wood! If any of you are weary of doing the Spring blocks for that reason, the issue has been resolved!
